Michel Oris is Professor of demography and social history at the University of Geneva. He is working on family demography and the interactions between individual trajectories and the socioeconomic dynamics. 

Specialist of historical demography and family history, Guy Brunet is Professor at the University Lyon 2. His last publications analyze the life course of marginalized women and children (orphans, abandoned children, unwed mothers). 

Virgine De Luca Barrusse is Professor of demography at the University of Picardie Jules Vernes, member of the CURAPP (CNRS) laboratory. Her researches deal with the history of vulnerable populations and demographic policies. 

Danielle Gauvreau is a specialist of the Québec population history. She teaches at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University (Montréal) and is a member of the Centre interuniversitaire détudes québécoises (CIEQ).
