Olschki was founded in 1886, at Verona by Leo Samuel Olschki. Following a lengthy tradition, Olschki stands out in the field of humanities. It is one of the very rare examples of an editorial management which went to a century of life. Its logo, defined as ‘a heart crossed and divided’, is familiar to specialists, scholars and librarians all over the world and holds a special significance for cultural institutions and universities.
Olschki publishes about 130 new book titles every year with 3,500 backlist titles. Most of the titles are Italian with some of them in English. It also owns 23 learned periodicals concerning humanities and are in a position to supply complete collections.
