For twenty years, BIS Publishers is active in the field of design, visual communication, architecture and fashion publishing. BIS has earned a national and international reputation for prize-winning books for creative professionals and their clients. Well known is the prestigious series of Dutch Design books, which BIS has published every two years since 1990 in collaboration with the Association of Dutch Designers BNO.

BIS is also the founder of three professional magazines: Items the leading national Dutch design magazine. Frame the international magazine on interior architecture and design and Graphic, contemporary graphic culture magazine.  A magazine that accurately picks up on, and authoritatively and convincingly presents the most important trends in todays international graphic culture. 

Besides its own publishing programme, BIS also produces books and periodicals on a smaller scale for various corporate clients and communication agencies, using its excellent network of designers, photographers, illustrators and journalists
